Bent Forks?

After a ride today my mate noticed that my forks looked like they have more rake than normal.. Is it common for aluminium to bend a little before they snap? I thought alu snapped without warning.

I looked afterwards and it definately seems like they are, or is it my eyes tricking me? Will get two photos up soon.

It was pretty difficult to calculate because of the different perspective and range from which each picture was taken, but using some simple trig overlayed onto a protractor accompanied by an inflatable slide style translucent graph with a carefully calculated inritus irritus scale I was able to work out the following for you.. I won't insult your intelligence by explaining the findings, it's all pretty self explanatory after all.

i woul´ve had something really straight held against the steerer, but ohhhh-kayyyy,thats good too.

I removed the forks and did this.

Its not that thats bent. The above method is very clever! I came to the conclusion they were after measuring my wheelbase.

Its a very useful image though that will help my warranty claim, even though they are obviously bent.
