SamKidney
After a ride today my mate noticed that my forks looked like they have more rake than normal.. Is it common for aluminium to bend a little before they snap? I thought alu snapped without warning. I looked afterwards and it definately seems like they are, or is it my eyes tricking me? Will get two photos up soon. When new: Today: Edited October 6, 2012 by Echo Lite

SamKidney
Took the forks out and did a rough dropout to center of steerer ofset. Its meant to be 45mm, I got 55mm... But it was a rough measurement

Sam Nichols
It was pretty difficult to calculate because of the different perspective and range from which each picture was taken, but using some simple trig overlayed onto a protractor accompanied by an inflatable slide style translucent graph with a carefully calculated inritus irritus scale I was able to work out the following for you.. I won't insult your intelligence by explaining the findings, it's all pretty self explanatory after all.

FamilyBiker
i would´ve had something really straight held against the steerer(tends to bend where the bearing sits),but ohhhh-kayyyy,thats good too. SamKidney
i woul´ve had something really straight held against the steerer, but ohhhh-kayyyy,thats good too. I removed the forks and did this. Its not that thats bent. The above method is very clever! I came to the conclusion they were after measuring my wheelbase. Its a very useful image though that will help my warranty claim, even though they are obviously bent.
Andeee
I hate the idea i had to tilt my head to compare lol. Bad luck there man! Are urbans still made of cheese?
SamKidney
Haha, no idea why it came out sideways. It would seem so! Bit miffed off about it but hey, shit happens haha

SamKidney
Haha, yeah I cant see myself getting another set of Echo forks. Im assuming that I can get say, Bonz or Rockman forks through warranty provide I make up the difference in price from the cheaper urbans to the Bonz/Rockmans? p_ruskin
Have seen vee urbans bend before, but the opposite way, the 4 bolt ones snap as oppose to this i think better bending them than snapping them if you ask me, for your teeth anyway

Jake.
At least you weren't using the sl forks, they're even weaker haha. I'd go for rockman forks for strength.
