clerictgm
I don't know but that bike sure don't look like a gt to me I don't understand that idiocity. Chris Akriggs "mongoose" in this video: And this "GT" bike that have only stickers from GT. Companies are so stupid or what? Mark W
I don't understand that idiocity. Chris Akriggs "mongoose" in this video: And this "GT" bike that have only stickers from GT. Companies are so stupid or what? By being sponsored by GT, Kenny gets more opportunities to travel and ride his bike for a living. By sponsoring Kenny, GT get to be associated with a currently popular type of riding, with one of the best riders in that discipline. It works out pretty well for both of them irrespective of what the actual frame is. GT don't make one yet, so rather than making him ride some dirt jump frame he's allowed to ride whatever he wants. It was pretty much the same deal with Akrigg. Riding for Mongoose got him paid, but none of their frames were really suitable. He liked the Mongoose so he rode that. At the end of the day, he got paid to ride his bike, we got the chance to see more cool videos and Mongoose got to be associated with one of the biggest names in riding. FamilyBiker
i understand how this deal works well for both parties, but isnt it kind of cheating to associate a label with things that have nothing to do with it in customers heads? just my opinion,no offence intended Edited October 6, 2012 by FamilyBiker
