Luke Dunstan
In a spot of bother with money this month, I have two accounts with Barclays. One is my current account and one is my savings. The current account is well over its overdraft limit, and I have about £250 in my savings. If I go in to the bank to withdraw said cash, will they cause a stink and make me pay that money back in to my current account? I don't have a savings card so can only hand over my current account card to get the money so they won't miss the problem. Any ideas or has anyone else been this stupid before? AdamR28
No, they will just charge you an overdraft fee on your current account.

Tomm
This sounds like a terrible idea, by the way. Banks only make their money when you're overdrawn. I'm sure they don't mind at all if you're in the red, they get to charge you more.
shercofray
Try get all what's in your savings into your current so they don't charge you so much and reduce your liability! Depends on your individual situation though.. Think long term if you can skimp for a couple of weeks and reduce your overdraft try your best! JD™
It doesn't matter how much you tell someone living in their overdraft to get out of it ASAP, until they're out they don't truly see what damage it was doing to their cash flow. So yea, you can do what you said - which you probably already have - but you should just transfer it to help you out the shit. Even better, borrow the cash off a family member to get you out of the shit and pay them back interest free (because that's what family and friends do) but make sure you can and do. Luke Dunstan
It's just a shitty month, had to spend £200 on the bike and we went to Swanage for a weekend. So a little tight. End of the month I can pay it all back easily!
