Laurence--Trials
I saw tryall's new stem on tribal Zine and it has a weird insert bit around the bar clamp. What is it? http://www.tribalzine.com/IMG/jpg/K_124_Days2012_2_Potence150.jpg
Blake
Something to do with taking the bars out/putting them in maybe? I'm stumped. . . Looks sweet though.
AdamR28
Yeah, it's so you can get the bars in and out easier.
SamKidney
I prefer the older one with the small logos I think.

craigjames
I like it, is it still a two piece welded affair? The insert is a novel way of getting around the bar clamp issue, serious pain in the posterior. Might have to acquire myself one of these... AdamR28
Two pieces (main body, front clamp) but no welds.
SamKidney
No welds you say?... if its the same 150x30 geo I may get one, and raw it.
trialsiain
tarty gonna be getting these in ?
aener
I saw that and instantly assumed it was something a bit sticky/grippy to lessen the carbon-bar-slippage issue, but the getting-the-bars-in issue is much more sensible They look nice, but I'd still rather have a 4bolt, even if it was ugly as sin. Canardweb
My friend who is testing the Kloud has had one of these for a year. And last year, they already presented it at the Koxx Days saying Vincent had been testing it for the last year. They have been around for a long time and they are the best idea ever. I don't understand why it took so long...

Ben Gosden
Looks quite nice i think, but the new insert ease thing i think is just a bit pointless.

Ben Gosden
i heard alot of people struggled to get there bars in without scratching so maybe not ? Yeah but surely that could have changed the end of this stem to a detachable one, then the would be no chance of scratching the bars. Canardweb
Maybe they kept snapping? i think you didn't read my answer correctly... My friend has been testing it for a year and a half now as he got it before the previous Koxx Days.

Canardweb
Think he's talking about the old ones which snapped a fair bit on the weld Oh, I own one of these on my mod. I have to watch it now. Damn stems...
Mark W
Assuming you mean the current style of Try-All stem, we've sold over 350 of those stems and we've had 2 back, ever. It doesn't really seem like much to worry about. Dave's post is the first time I've seen anyone on any forum or 'in real life' express any form of concern/issue about the strength of those stems. The forged version should be stronger, but it's not like the current ones are weak. i heard alot of people struggled to get there bars in without scratching so maybe not ?
