LEON
NCH videopad I'm on my third free 14 day trial, if you're used to the simplicity of windows movie maker (like me) it may take a little while to adjust, but it's still really simple, I just finished my GETcreative entry using the free 14 day trial, which has some of the best features locked and is still a really good editor with more features than Windows, and unlike windows it won't crash/lose your work every 6 minutes. williams
Nooooo, don't download the shit suggested! Download something proffesional like Sony vegas pro, or adobe after after effects cs5! It may be a tad more difficult to start with but when you're used to it, it will be soooo much better! Btw they're quite expensive to buy.. but you can download them:)
liam n
windows live movie maker is free and works quite well takes a while to "prepare" the clips for editing. but then seems to work alright although the changed the timeline feature which makes it a bit naff. usable though. I use vegas pro 9 which is brilliant once you get used to it. what camera have you got/ what file format does it record in ? if it's a panasonic or sony it may record in avchd which is a pain and you'll need something better like vegas. I figured out how to do 'overlays' (or whatever they're called) on VideoPad the other day, infact I'm gonna go play with that feature right now.
