My_Teenage_Self
I've seen lots of bad reports on here, what is the problem with them? Loads of them seem to be for sale for less than £100 second hand, but i'm reluctant to buy one due to the comments on here! This will be my first proper trials bike ( been riding mountain bikes for 18 years though) Sorry if this opens a can of worms... Jake.
Hard to explain. It's not a bad frame, and it is a bad frame at the same time. It's heavy, doesn't have a modern geo. But it'll last you forever.
SunnyBoy
I wouldn't say it's a bad first trials bike - that or one of the lower spec Onza's that you can pick up cheap. No point spending a fortune at first - if you stick to it then upgrade and you won't have lost out.
JT!
When you're starting out get what you can. I started out on a da bomb, the handlebars snapped on me, seemed to happen to a few people but I'm sure they've sorted that out now. I'd go for an onza if you can get one though. CalopS
I'd imagine if you have been riding mountain bikes for 18 years you will have had some pretty slick bikes in that time! Going to a Da Bomb would be awful.... Have you thought about going for a 24" or 26" instead? 20" is good for leaning on but if you have been riding 26 for that long maybe just starting on something bigger would be better. My_Teenage_Self
Thanks Guys, looks like they're just low-end then? I've seen a few around super cheap... I may pick one up and see how it goes. I've ridden a few nice bikes, yup, But I'm having tons of fun at the moment on a 1993 kona fire mountain. Go figure! CalopS
Super low end. If you just want to try out trials it might be worth it but I wouldn't bother upgrading it or anything. Just get rid of it and get another full bike.
