chimpanzyyyy
looks awesome front end seems a bit low?
LEON
Forks are loooong (dirt jump) they compensate for the low front. But yeah it's a jump bike at heart. Edited September 25, 2012 by LEON
Filo
The rebate fork have a 435 crown height. Normal trials forks are 390-415 so not a lot of difference Edited September 25, 2012 by Filo
LEON
30mm on your forks is a massive difference, that'll change your head angle by a couple of degrees, that's roughly the same as taking the entire headset on/off the bike. Normal trials forks are NOT 390mm, Maybe 10-12 years ago, and no one uses fattys/Pashley anymore, modern forks are 405-415.
Filo
Considering normal jump forks are 485 mm there's not a lot of difference using 435mm forks. Yes it changes your HA,lucky to be 1-2 degrees though. I do have and run fattys so my 390 is a valid.
LEON
Some people still have Fattys, but they're obselete now and no modern frames are designed with old forks in mind, modern forks are much longer and have less rake.

SamKidney
The Identiti Dr. Jekyl frames make suprisingly nice streety trials frames. Borrowed my mates the other night. Kitted out with Tech V2's on 180mm rotors and Pro2 hubs front and rear. Quite a stumpy Spank stem/bar combo, but as it had a light Rockshox air sprung fork, the front end comes up really nicely. Got in a few decent rolling gaps and static gaps. Even going up stuff wasnt toooo hard, although a slightly longer stem would help. Nothing massive mind. But for what it is, I wouldnt mind one. Something to hit the jumps on and have a good streety/trials mess around on the way there/home. Even had the luxury of gears for a change! LEON
It'd be closer to a Skye with the dirt jump forks back on it, -10bb on a 24" is suicide. Edited October 12, 2012 by LEON
Ali C
right its been ages since i said i would measure the bike. i now have rockman spade forks fitted and its all measured up P60 Geo wheel base 990mm chain stay 390mm bb rise -10.5mm reach bb to top headtube 670mm steerer 115mm bb height from floor 299mm seat tube 290mm down tube 635mm toptube 550mm seat stay 400mm effective toptube 560mm its very simmilar to the inspired skye, i need to know the reach on the skye to know for sure. It's really not, 10mm longer chainstays = big difference, -10mm bb = big difference and I suspect the head angle is slacker too.
dezmtber
So its a bit simmilar but the frame n fork cost. Less than £180 while the frames are cheap
Ali C
the only thing similar is the wheelbase, even a couple of mil out on anything else will make it ride completely differently.
Muel
You can tell just by looking at it that it won't ride anything like a skye. It's an interesting build, but it is a jump bike. It even has a BB drop lol.
N.Wood
In that case the Azonic DS1 I rode 10 years ago had similar geo to the Skye, sweeet.
Jake.
All these "similar skye" builds were funny at first but now they're getting quite annoying...
dezmtber
i did check all the other geos on all the 24 bikes on tartys to see which was closest before asking. and i did say simmilar, i know its not the same. and still no one has said what the reach is on a skye.
