onza pro series guy
I don't think it was the drop that was the problem in that clip yeah there was clearly a scooter next to the wall
Kevinfor
You should really get a dual ply tyre if you are getting a lot of snake bites. I have been using a maxxis high roller for a while now and not a single puncture! I'm running really low tyre preasure (not sure how much as I dont have a fancy pump) but if i press hard enough i can almost feel the rim. clerictgm
I dropped today few times from 1.5m on speed and by wheelie drop. And no punctures! With 40psi. It's not because of tyre. Edited September 23, 2012 by clerictgm
Luke Rainbird
As has already been said, it doesn't look like it's the drops that are the problem. Smoothing out the rest of your riding (particularly getting up stuff) and you'll puncture way less
clerictgm
getting up stuff Yep, thats consequence of new geo and additional weight) But I handle it eventually.
Mark W
I think Luke was saying that it's the getting up that's giving you problems. You'll get used to it - as you said - but the flats you're getting are caused by hanging up on the way up the wall rather than coming off it. When your back wheel hits the wall when you go up, it's landing on a small, precise corner of the wall. When you land the drop, it's spread over a larger area - it's that first, precise impact which is giving you pinches.
