Revolver
I find the bar angle depressing, doesn't seem to lean towards versatility.
Mark W
If you look at most comps now though, sections tend to be laid out in a fairly similar way so versatility isn't really that key.
rocky111
That bar angle is mental, looks kinda like bull horns, maybe it's to scare away other competitors . Edited September 19, 2012 by rocky111
BradJohnson
sweet, someone else that runs the same bar angle as me. This makes the bike sit on the back wheel like a treat, incase anyone was wondering.
ghostrider88
This makes the bike sit on the back wheel like a treat, incase anyone was wondering. But shite for everything else.
BradJohnson
But shite for everything else. Not true, it also helps on up/gap to fronts cause you can get right over the bars, also it helps for gap to rears too as it helps you to tuck more. howvard
We all know its a Jack Carthy trade mark bar set-up. I also persinally like my bars at that angle, makes anything streety horrible... Otherwise nice!! And sweet ride mate! Good luck with the UCI
Matthew62
Surely just riding on two wheels is horrendous like that?
J.KYDD
Surely just riding on two wheels is horrendous like that? True, but its a matter of compromise. Its obviousley a noticable enough advantage in certain/enough areas/techniques to warrant making it less of an advantage in others.
ben_travis
why not just have flat bars with a change of dimensions on the stem?
kurtis G
that bar angle. lovely bike though
Mark W
why not just have flat bars with a change of dimensions on the stem? Mainly 'cos you'd need some mental 180 x 15 stem or something like that I guess. Plus this way when time passes people can just roll their bars back, and won't have to buy a new stem 'n' stuff
ben_travis
Plus this way when time passes people can just roll their bars back, and won't have to buy a new stem 'n' stuff this is very true
Blake
mark did you remember to tighten up the bar clamp? I think not

N.Wood
So many rustled jimmies over this f**kin bar angle thing I agree, for every day riding it would be shite. But for a comp where you just want a pogo stick its perfect 80% of the time.
Mark W
hope it rides alright cause it looks....wrong Jack Carthy and James came round last week to get some bits and ride our indoor setup. Although you could probably put them both on an Apollo and they'd be able to do some serious stuff, they were definitely riding their Sky 2s well!

Mark W
It always seems strange when people wear lycra bottoms, but then wear those short shorts over the top. Get that freedom of movement with the lycra, take it away with some non-flexible shorts...
ChrisTrials2012
I dunno, I think it looks great. It kind of changes it from looking elegant to looking like serious business. And with regards to the change in ride, I love a tilted forward bar. It makes rear wheel class, helps on pedal ups and on gaps to front aswell as normal gaps. And it feels right, Because you're arms aren't being held inwards by the bar angle, they offer much more control and leverage.
