clerictgm
Do you like this extreme change in geometry last years? And overrated (in my opinion) importance of bikes weight?

Filo
some geo changes are good. every brand being sheep and following what everyones else is doing sucks. its hard to get a prper trials frame with a low bb these days. Jamie_Trials
Some of the changes are good, like making lighter frames and carbon bars. Decent things like trialtech forks are nice too, but I don't see why they stopped making things that everyone loved, like plazmatic and zoo pads. What's that all about?? Change is good if it's an improvement.
ghostrider88
like plazmatic and zoo pads. What's that all about?? Change is good if it's an improvement. Because there are better pads out there, easy as that.
clerictgm
As i started to ride TGS at first and hated it so much, I don't like new extremely stick-like frames and high stems. My previous Because 24 feels not like bicycle, but more like "special sports equipment". I started to ride TGS because of one good local TGS rider (he can side hop ~135cm) but as I was newbie I was confused and started to repeat what he's do. I still don't understand why people riding TGS, it's sooooooo stupid I think - why not to use pogo stick or just to train high/long jumps like in athletics. When riding TGS I was feel like riding a shovel: All that forced me to change something - and I went brakeless, then brakeless street-trials. It's strange, but brakeless feels not like a shovel ride. Nevertheless I love street-trials geo more. If I hurt someone's feelings - sorry. Edited September 16, 2012 by clerictgm
Jamie_Trials
Because there are better pads out there, easy as that. Not really, I know plenty of people who would love the zoo pads back. Okay there are some decent ones out at the moment, but they made onza citrus pads for donkeys years and they were shite to be fair.

But for me its the best thing for me to do around my area, i find it somewhat challenging and always good to try and up one your self on height / gaps! Just my say! -let the hate begin- And trials these days have changed a lot from what it used to be ..i only came onto the scene about 4 years back, but from the older videos i've watched it has changed a lot, no more just TGS shit, all weight weenie bikes ..a lots changed i just cant remember exactly atm! -too tired- .. Not really, I know plenty of people who would love the zoo pads back. ClarkeHutchison
The change in bike weight and geo is great because it allows us to go even bigger or higher. If you prefer a heavy bike just stick with it, but lightweight bikes/parts is the future. Don't slag off TGS riding just because you don't like it, it involves much more skill than being able to jump high or far. I ride in an area which has mostly walls and stuff so TGS is great fun. N.Wood
Bikes are definately much better to ride, no complaints there. Also good you can choose a style and have the correct bike to do it on, not just one bike that sorta does TGS and sorta does comp and sorta does manuals and spins. However, it doesnt have the same 'excitement' it used to, where trials was developing so quickly. I think that certain lack of excitement also comes down to the internet - Back when you had to wait hours to download a trialskings vid on your 56k internet (bet there are some on here who don't know what that is) and download managers so mother could make a phone call etc it was sorta more special. Now you can flick through trials vids for hours and get them instantly.
LEON
I think Trialkings were the peak of how cool trials was. I loved checking the site everyday for the latest vid.
