trialsEuan
hey guys, just purchased some shimano saint brakes, and was wondering if the Mangura royal blood mineral oik would work with them? And if so, does it affect the feel and lever control? Cheers! Euan x
clerictgm
If brakes designed to use with mineral oil - magura royal blood is ok. About fluids - nothing better than water. Antifreeze better than royal blood. Edited September 15, 2012 by clerictgm

The use of shimano oil in hs33 may be good ? Lubrification and little bit more responsive lever.

Yes it´s good choice, even though antifreeze works the same and feels like water.
krazykid009
Yes it works fine. I find it actually gives a nicer feel than Shimano fluid for some reason.... Hence why we have several 5L bottles of the stuff at work!

ghostrider88
Yes but antifreeze doesn't lubrificate seals, no ? It should contain some form of lubricant too, just as some anticorrosive substances.
Maxx
Ok I didn't know that (although I've run antifreeze for the last 4 years in different hs33, I sometimes put a drop of oil). And does antifreeze contain water (which apparently makes pistons bigger and problems of non-return levers) ? Because like I said I never have any problems with antifreeze but since I tried windshield washer fluid, I have some problems.

It is water based, but me nor my bro have not experienced any problems from pistons swelling...
