so the echo team frame is cracked on the bb shell, sorry about the gash pic, it's cracked between the two welds

so I now have an 09 onza blade, it rides so much nicer and is considerably lighter now. only things I've changed from the echo are an Mpart headset, echo booster and new Cnc heatsink yellow pads. my riding improved 100% in one day up Shipley glen with neil Robbo and jed hesling

geo measures at 1015, 360 cs, +55 bb. it's 20mm less reach than the echo, therefore 20mm less wb based on the same head angle. it's miles better up on the back wheel, so much so that I learnt how to gap in about 10 mins flat. wish I had bought one of these to start with

many thanks to josh barker for the frame, and dan cox for booster and pad backing, and for motivating me to get better

they are wellgo plastics, with metal screw in studs. they were £12 and they are 200g lighter than those black ones I had on before. I'm a fairly gentle rider so I can't see me smashing them. for 12 sheets I'll just buy another pair

yeah, have settled on mod now, can do more stuff on it, just needed to find one that felt right. the inspired was no good for comps. wish I'd stuck to mod when I had my python, but that's life. other priorities at the time. my riding has improved ten fold since I got this.

updated a bit now, changed to a lighter front wheel, 03 hs33 with Cnc lever, coust front brake pads, new onza pro series rear wheel, tensile 60 click ffw, black mongoose grips and black wellgo flatties. it's built on a budget, I could get it maybe 5-600 grams lighter by throwing 200 quid at it. but 8.4 kgs will do for me

Nice front wheel, which sexy guy drilled those holes ?

Looks good apart from the 70's colour styling maggy levers :P and bash.

Did a photoshop because I was intrigued. And I can't do silver on photoshop for the life of me so the bars and stem are kinda grey ish haha. Looks way bettttter imo

so here is an update, have gone dual disk now. got a 2012 shimano deore, with a 180mm rotor, and a new rear wheel. its an onza pro diamond rim on a viz disk hub. i have also sprayed my front wheel matt black to match the rear wheel, it looks miles better now.

So here is another evolution, The major mod now, is that i have upgraded to saints front and rear, on 180mm ice tech rotors. These brakes are unbelievably good, and have the best feel of any brake I've ever had. I'm a definitely a fan of dual disk now, didnt like it before, preferred a hs33. Not any more. Double disk all the way

Only proper thing I could do with doing now is a freewheel with higher ep's, but after reading seabass's ffw thread I don't think I'll bother, nowt wrong with my tensile 60 click :)
