Kieran Morrison
Hi, I've got a set of try all carbon bars and when I push down on the grips with most of my weight they flex/bend down a bit. I can't feel it when I'm riding but when I do that or have the bike upside down and push the wheel down hard they flex. Is this normal? Constantly worrying about these bars haha. Thanks
maxxis26
Think it may just be the nature of the material being a weved material it will have a bit of flex it's just the way it's made I guess
Martin Reynolds
Man up! because of the way carbon is, it does flex a bit more then Ally, but it will fatigue alot less than Ally.

The reason I got scared of it is because when I pushed on them my mates were like 'Woah oh my god that's mental that's scary' etc haha. ChrisTrials2012
Pretty much yeah as the other lads said. It's still new in the trials world (carbon fibre) and people can become superstitious about it. Kieran Morrison
Ah good then. Need to stop worrying about them, no doubt ill notice something else dodgy in the next few rides haha. Thanks or the help
maxxis26
Simple fact is carbon is flexy it's just the way it is trials bikes are built to be rock solid so any flex or movement is bound to worry anyone but until development moves on the simple fact is carbon will flex Edited September 10, 2012 by maxxis26
Revolver
I dont get it?... You can't feel it when riding, that's when it matters most - it's the answer to your own issue!
Mark W
Every bar is going to do that to some extent, it isn't unique to carbon bars.
Pauly
when I put a set of sl carbon bars on my bike from a set of viz maxi bar the difference was night and day, they were supper stiff comparded to my viz ones.
