John Shrewsbury
What i love about this bike. Photos by James Woodbridge This is my 2nd Inspired Hex Frame with Inspired, Trialtech components. I decided to strip the frame silver this time just to give it a different look. After running my first ever inspired Hex i knew i had found THE ONE. This frame has given me the chance to show how i ride a bike. Dave and Jon had put alot of hard work into this frame including Ali c team rider testing it. Its short back end with the way the geo is set at with the saddle so low out of the way the bike rides so well. It rides so well including the Parts that are provided by Inspired/Trialtech and alittle bit of my own. The bike has a very updated and Oldskool (look feel) to it. I decided to keep with the slim Mavic style rims to make it light and strong as possible as i have always rode with these. As im a very Tall guy ive gone with the Trialtech 90/25 Race welded stem to give it that just anuff rise with the Trialtech High rise bars. On my bars i run a very old HS33 lever (very hard to come by these days) Never ran any other kind of lever other then this one. My tyres are Maxxis Holy Rollers, there a great tyre to flow around with. Alot of people comment about the tyre pressure and yes i run them very hard at 60 PSI, it helps to hit obstacles faster and i know where im placing the bike. Heres the Rundown of the Parts i use including the ones ive mentioned. rocky111
Nice, I like how the inspired frames have so many extra bits welded on to make them stronger, like that wedge where the downtube meets the steerer. on some inspireds the left side chainstay has a support welded on. Matthew62
An inspired with mavics is always going to be nice. It looks a lovely build, if it were I I'd put hollow tech cranks on to give it that full MTB look. Will you be updating it to a dial disc frame when the time comes? Having moved to dual disc I know I'd never go back.
