shercofray
Hi I was just wondering if anyone is using/has used hs33's on v brake mounts? What are they like in comparison with using them 4 bolt mounts? Is the hold etc still okay? Would be on an NS frame for a friend who is tempted to start a little trials. Cheers, Frazer
CalRobbo341
Would a cheaper option not be just to get good v pads? and then a grind if nessecary? I mean I know HS33's are used on the rear of 50% of frames but it would save him a whole lot of dollar on a HS33, unless it was going for pennies/free
dave33
They are just as good really just a bit more of a pain to set up. Depending on how stif the frame is depends on the feel. You will need to use a booster I ran them like that for years

isitafox
As above, we never had a problem years ago
LEON
Plus you've got to be a complete idiot to ruin threads on a brake boss. I'm always careful with 4 bolt threads but even mine are wearing thin.
