Aii_Aitch
http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/snail_cams/neon_snail_cams_pair/c114p10978.html Are they any good? How long do they last? Does anybody know if there are any other choices if I have a 12mm axle? And by any chance is anybody selling them (i'll put up a post in the wanted section if not)? Are snail cams okay to use second-hand? Feel free to answer any of these.
Nannerman
Just my input from my, and a few other local's, experiences. -We all wouldn't reccomend them -They last just as long as any other snail cam. One of the people has snapped 2 from missed sidehops. -Drill press? Just make sure the you are drilling the center of the axle hole. -Snail cams second hand should be fine if they don't have any divots worn into them from the 5mm frame bolt. Overall, I wouldn't get them and I would use the drill press on some other kind, like the try all cnc or echos. Hope that helps
SamKidney
Dont get why people run snail cams with the tab facing down where its vulnerable to hits. Ive always ran them the other way so the tabs up and out of harms way.
Aii_Aitch
I've heard the rockman CNCs are good? They're notched and I could drill them out to 12mm without it bursting out into another hole?
dave33
Rockman have nice deep groves so they don't tend to slip
williams
I have the rockmans now and have had the neons before. The neons suck! They slip all the time, and I really gave them a chance! The rockmans are really good, never slips. BUT they don't have the same adjustments as the neon ones because of the big groves.

N.Wood
My neon ones always used to slip until I filed some notches in, after which they were fine (for one ride, then I changed frames and didn't need 'em)
