daftpunk
As title says I'm going to ask Liverpool council for a speck to ride. Its as basic as it can get. What's the likelyhood of this happening. Or is the a location near Liverpool already. I am gonna put up a marquee in my back garden for. Winter but that can't last. isitafox
Very, very doubtful without a huge amount of interest from local riders and still would take a lot to get the funding then I'd imagine.

daftpunk
It gets pretty wet here and just unridable. A few bmx/skate Parks have popped up here. Even one in the Baltic triangle lol. So council may just have a disused place or offer advice. Anyway would anyone come to my marquee in my back haha.
isitafox
If you can get them to nominate somewhere where you could ride without hassle from the police or locals it's a good start if nothing else. If you can try and get hold of some local riders and see if you can get support from a local business like a builders merchants who'd be willing to supply a few free bits to build with and then go to some local papers and try and get them to run a story. It's all about getting some backing, may even be worth asking for some trials areas to be added on to the existing skatepark?
daftpunk
That's a good idea. Thanks.
CalRobbo341
Under the bridge we went the other week, 2 sets of stones would be ideal, get a few pallets under there, not by any houses (noise complaints) quiet area, except for the main road on the other side, pallets would probably get trashed and wrecked. CalRobbo341
Or go hunting for some sort of abondoned barn, big shack somewhere close?
CalRobbo341
I don't know if this topic has been abondoned, but judging by this being my third post in a row it may be.. Try contacting select-bikes, they are in Liverpool, I don't know if they still run the place but worth a try, also Adam Lefurve, he runs a bike shop over in New Brighton, he used to or still does ride trials. Carlperkins
speak to mick at radical bikes? he'll be able to give you an idea of how hard it is. he set up on his own land though as a business. and he was telling me once how much trouble he had with the insurance aspect of it. getting the council to give you an are is highly highly highly unlikely. worth a shot though i suppose.
