Azarathal
I haven't had a puncture since about February? And that was a split valve. Running about 18-20psi rear and 25psi front with fat Albert / small block
SamKidney
I've only had two punctures in the last two years, not counting the one today that Mr. Clayton managed to cause doing a sidehop. (how?!)
Jake.
Prepare for lots of "Only had __ punctures in __ months/years" posts... I'll look like a fool if they stop at this post haha. CalRobbo, get dual disc for sure.
clerictgm
About getting bored from trials and losing motivation - I come to trials because of Julien Dupont, Damon Watson and firstly because of Danny Mac, I've just found some videos of Julien Dupont on youtube and I very liked it, then I found Watson and Danny vid's, that impressed me more than mototrials. What I'm trying to say is thats to find your style is difficult (for me it was). Watching video is good, but if something impress you - it doesn't mean you'll like it to do. I'm started to ride trials on because 24 trials bike with brakes (bb5/echo08) and bad thing is I tried to do trials, tried to get like Watson, to copy, I was training, not riding like I want. Also local riders giving some REALLY F*ING STUPID tips like "what you should learn now, and what learn then". The result was only disappointed, and I was thinking about stop riding. But now I understand how is it - to ride properly, not to stupid repeating, not to train, to do only what you enjoy and not to listen anybody. I know how to ride and I know that I want to ride street-trials. Do not listen anybody, do what you like in the way you like it. (maybe try street-trials with brakes or not?) aener
If you're doing gap90s you'll want a firmer pressure. I did one in Hull (probably the biggest I've done so far) and the tyre folded quite dramatically even at ~45psi. I used to run soft tyres for sidehops, but kept falling off the rim when I landed to 90. So yeah... up the pressure a bit. Also - if you want a bit of a change but don't have money for a load of new parts, maybe try just a rear disc? Cocky runs just a rear brake. I personally don't like it, but if you just want something a bit different it'd be a cheaper way to go than two brakes and a set of forks... I debuilt the rear end sorted out the wire on the very end of the sidewall on the tyre, straightened it up a little more, then rebuilt and all has been well since, at a guess I am running 35iss psi, but you never know? That was also the plan as I would have to get new forks to run a disc up front, so unless I found a really good deal on here or fleabay then I would only buy a rear brake, then see how it goes.. But I was going up shops earlier and found some woods, I knew about it but never thought about going there on the bike, I have a nice Thursday planned pending on weather!
