LukasMcNeal
I bought an iPod Classic off ebay the other day and the listing said this exactly: 80GB iPod Classic very good condition fully working condition some scratches on back and couple on the front good battery life still no headphones - will find a usb cable and include full of music which i will erase if required It turned up today and granted the front has a few scratches but the back is pretty awful and no where near in 'very good condition' there is also a chunk/dent where the hold switch is which wasn't pictured. I'm a bit pissed cause if I wanted a scratched one I could have saved a bit of money! Where do I stand because I personally think as its item not as described? Miss-Higgy
If your not happy with the condition then send the ebayer a message and see if they offer a good enough resolution. Failing that you'll need to open a case against them.
LukasMcNeal
Just done that I will see what happens thanks!
Miss-Higgy
cool let us know how you get on, but no matter what thanks to paypal you should be good to get your money back. And if the seller offers a refund make sure you say your not willing to meet the cost of the return postage. As its not your fault and you shouldn't have to spend any of your own money on failed transactions.
Luke Dunstan
If you paid through Paypal, raise it with them too. Once they realise the funds have been held from their account they tend to move lightning quick to help you.
Simpson
IMO your best to raise a complaint whilst trying to sort a compromise out with him (if you want it) ?? Just so Paypal and stuff know what's going on.
Danny
Contact the seller first and try resolve it that way. If you can't then follow the eBay/PayPal procedure.
LukasMcNeal
Okay so I got offered a refund and I sent the item back tracked, it arrived and now the seller says I need to close the case on eBay for the money to be I held on PayPal for a refund? Is this true cause surely if I close the case he could pull a fast one? If I didn't make it clear by the way I opened a case on eBay and he said the funds had been held on PayPal I haven't like opened a case on PayPal! LukasMcNeal
Well I got the full amount back and it says it'll be in my bank by 8th of September. So much hassle really just because he couldn't put an extra picture of describe very well. Very good condition funnily enough means just that, not scratched to shit!
