SamKidney
Basically, Ive ordered my Echo 24", it's arriving tomorrow, super excited. However, I have two options here in terms of what bar/ stem combo to run. Got the options of - Trialtech Highrise Bars & Rockman forged stock stem Try-All Elite 2012 Bars & Tartybikes mod stem. (160x30* I think) Or vice versa with trialtechs and the mod stem and try alls with the stock stem etc... Just wondering what you guys/girls would say would be the better option. Help muchly appreciated! Cheers

CalRobbo341
I guess it will al depend on your height and stem stackers too.

craigjames
I ran TryAll carbons with a TryAll 3D stem and it was fine for me, but i'm only 5'8, personally i would go for the higher stem and the TryAll bars.
Jake.
150x30 and carbon tryalls. You'll thank me. Edit: if you want a longer stem i wouldn't go further than 160 x 30 Edited August 23, 2012 by JMCD
SamKidney
150x30 and tryall elites? Cant get hold of tryall carbons or carbon rockbars for a while.
ClarkeHutchison
I also switched from a mod to an echo 24", it was the best decision i have made and my riding has improved rapidly, i hope you also will enjoy it. When i first got my echo i rode it with the tarty stem and try all carbons, it felt like i was streching to much and it wasn't working out. I then got a rockman 150x30 and used it with the try all carbons, it feels a lot nicer for everything .
Jake.
Eh any bars other than the tryall/rockman carbons feel poop after you try the combo I suggested. Only other bars I'd choose would be trialtech high rise I guess
TheLeroyHUK
i'm 6ft, have 15mm stem stack and tartybikes stem with the high rise bars, it feels really nice and i would recomend, i don't want to risk buying carbon bars in case they don't feel as nice as the trialtech ones :/
Jake.
They feel 10x nicer, buy them. You won't believe how much flex there is in alloy bars once you try carbons.
SamKidney
I am planning on getting hold of some Carbon Bars in October. i'm 6ft, have 15mm stem stack and tartybikes stem with the high rise bars, it feels really nice and i would recomend, i don't want to risk buying carbon bars in case they don't feel as nice as the trialtech ones :/ You running the tartybikes mod stem? TheLeroyHUK
yes i believe so it seriously feels nice... anyone who has ridden it says it's the nicest they've ridden
SamKidney
I'll give that a go then for a little. Just thought maybe the higher stem may compliment the bb rise, while the Try-All bars would keep it from being to high/ stretched out. TheLeroyHUK
i don't think you will want to change it after you use them
Danzo1p
try them all and see what works for you the best it only takes a quick change to swap everything round
SamKidney
Dont really fancy doing it too much to be honest. Running an SL lever body and Avid FR5 lever so I have to remove my grips each time. Theyre rockman foams too, THE worst to put on/remove. BradJohnson
TT highrise bars and onza stem?
SamKidney
The Onza stems are essentially the same as the tarty stems
