Joe_Elding
My bike got stolen last night and cycling to and from east london for the olympics so need a new bike ASAP. Got a grand to spend and want something basically top of the range - so i appreciate this puts a full on geared road bike out of the equation. What fixie/ singlespeed companies are there to look at? ive seen the charges but are there anymore? thanks
Tomm
If your bike got stolen, why on earth would you want to replace it with something new and shiny costing a grand?!
Joe_Elding
Because its the ideal opportunity to upgrade? Also a chance to buy better locks, if your £2000 monty got stolen would you replace it with a t-pro?
trialsmax04
£1000 wont get you top of the range. Top of your budget will be something from a smaller name, not Specialized ect (unless you get an end of year deal).

For commuting (if you're going to lock your bike up anywhere) you want something that goes well but looks shit and costs no more than about £500. Especially in London. IMO of course.
