AkuskaUK
Are there different variations of the Avid BB7? On eBay i see "road" at the end of the name and i am wondering if they are the same as the ones on Tarty? If not, what are the differences? Thanks in advance! howvard
I dont know the actual difference, but the 'road' is a specific build commenly used on commuter bikes. Im guessing they just have a slightly lighter build, I wouldn't recommend buying the 'road' version for trials
narrowbars
The road version is designed to be used with road bike drop bar levers, the cable pull is different and they won't work very well with your v-brake levers. Buy the MTN version to use with standard v-brake levers
AkuskaUK
Brilliant, the MTN ones are what ill be buying! Thank you!
Ali C
The road ones have a shorter "arm" as road lever pull less cable than mtb levers, the shorter arm stops the brake from feeling mushy. to use the road calliper with a mtb lever would not be as powerful as a mtb calliper.
