howvard
Hey guys, so i'm currently building up a rockman aurem 3, and will be running a bashring. But I can't decide whether I should run it inbetween the frame and BB, or be normal and just chuck it in behind the ffw? Any opinions, and if you reckon I should be running a bashplate on this frame, tell me! Thanks for any replies
CalRobbo341
I don't know how this guy did this, but just a warning. His frame wasnt even that old.

CalRobbo341
But remember, it is a Rockman. Not judging them, just the amount of people that have had there Rockmans just break, that is all.

Thanks for any replies worst case scenario: bashring on the bb : all the force goes directly through the bb/frame, and you'd destroy bb threads Bashring on cranks : you'll destroy the bottom bracket bearings So personally i'd use it on the cranks. A bottom bracket is cheaper than a new frame
shercofray
Don't go bashplate they are worse than rings for cracking frames. Run it on the cranks.
Jake.
I wouldn't use a bashplate... They're for comps with short lifespan use really, cause top comp riders have the money to spend. Just put the bashring on like the one in the snapped frame picture, if the frame dies- it dies.
