casualjoe
The government better get straight back to prosecuting bankers after all this is over, and make proper laws to sort out this awful capital accumulation culture. What is Boris Johnson still hanging around with Rupert Murdoch at the Olympics for? f**k sake. However, CityScan is being pioneered by Leicester Uni for the games, it can measure pollutant levels in 3D across the whole of London! What's great is that the area surrounding the Olympics has been pedestrianised, and CityScan has measured a drop of 80% in emissions because of it. This is great evidence that will surely guide decisions in future edit, not warwick, dur Edited August 1, 2012 by casualjoe

Mark W
British Cycling: f**k yeah. 4th to 1st the long way round is f**king nuts...
monkeyseemonkeydo
Never been a big supporter of the London Games and don't really care about 99% of the events but f**k me am I proud to have had even a slight involvement in the Team GB cycle success. They've done and are doing an incredible job and I sincerely hope the future of cycling in the UK is brighter than ever.

CalopS
I felt pretty negative towards the games in the build up to it but I'm hooked now. Awsome day for GB! The games need climbing in it though!
Ali C
I'm loving all the positivity the games has surrounding it, for once the country seems happy and there is a patristic vibe going on.

TomN
I've always looked forward to the games. But never thought I'd get hooked up this much! Haha it's been amazing seeing everyone enjoy & I'm glad Iw as able to get some tickets to experience it.
Rusevelt
Shame that Joe Maher, Neil Tunnicliffe and company couldn't be part of the closing ceremony with all the those performing artists in the mix.
tomturd
Yeah, caught a glimpse of someone on a bike but I guess that was one of the bmxers. Thought the closing ceremony was a bit lame, just because it didn't seem to have any direction. There was a tightrope walker at one point? Pretty cool - but why? isitafox
In a good old miserable anti Britain attitude way I must admit I thought the closing ceremony was also lame, and I think the act that did it for me has got to be Stomp. I remember seeing them on Blue Peter about 20 years ago and it just made it seem that they were scraping the barrel for something to put on. Also to add to the people who think the Olympics were a waste of our money I noticed one of the commentators saying that the gold medals that we've handed out are the heaviest ones in Olympic history, why exactly did Great Britain need to do that? Are we desperate to prove something??

JT!
Also to add to the people who think the Olympics were a waste of our money I noticed one of the commentators saying that the gold medals that we've handed out are the heaviest ones in Olympic history, why exactly did Great Britain need to do that? Are we desperate to prove something?? I think the weight of the "gold" medals is pretty insignificant when it comes to the financial aspect, but considering all the tourism I'd have thought the Olympics would have made the country money. isitafox
From what I've heard on the radio public transport has made quite a bit of money but tourism not so much
anzo
Opening was good. Closing was bad - too celebrity obsessed for my liking, why the f**k did they let One Direction play? And also ginger pubes who killed pink floyd!
