Laurence--Trials
I want to go rear vee because im fed up of rear magura now, the only thing concerning me is the fact i'll have to use an adapter. I've heard they snap quite easily. I'm not a heavy rider atall, FAIRLY smooth.. thoughts?
ghostrider88
I´m heavy and my heatsink adaptors are holding up fine after year of use, just make sure you use booster too...
Laurence--Trials
Yeah i'll use a booster. I thought heatsink vee adapters only just came out?

SamKidney
Rear vee's are quality if you get them setup right.
ghostrider88
Rear vee's are quality if you get them setup right. Exactly.
Bunta
Heres the setup on my echo 24 Had them for 8 months, never even had to retighten the bolts on the adapters and vees are super easy to adjust It does weigh a bit more but the simplicity is worth it
Mark W
I've heard they snap quite easily. Everyone's "heard" everything "snaps easily", and then because they've heard it they post it, then because they've posted it other people read it and then also start thinking that's the case. It really isn't.
Laurence--Trials
My front vee was the most powerful thing ever, dead grind, onza pads. Not once in a year did it slip. pads wernt even square! Probally will go for this!thanks for the replys
ghostrider88
You won´t regret it if you choose the right parts of course
Laurence--Trials
On my old front vee, i had a shitty clarks cable, onza pads, avid FR5 lever, avid SD7 arms no booster. I'm sure my set up will be better than that.
SamKidney
The best rear vee Ive used is the onza setup ona rip haha. For a cheapo vee it is properly good, better than a majority of my mag setups. Thats with a cheapo cable, onza arms, onza levers and pads. The only thing I would have changed would be the levers. Suprisingly bitey for a vee too, and even on a smooth rim, bags of hold. Properly properly good.
Laurence--Trials
I'm looking for something light too, so im probally going to get the echo adapter, any reviews on them?
Mark W
If you're worried about things not being strong enough, it would probably make sense to not go for something "lightweight" specifically. The Heatsink adaptors are pretty solid, and although they're heavier, at least that way you'll have peace of mind?
ghostrider88
Post on them are too close to the rim=arms sticking too far out.Heatsinks or neons are the best.shimano deore(or xt´s if you wan´t to save some weight)avid sd 7 or SL lever, and linear slick outer cable/teflon inner cable.Oh and some good pads of course,I love my rockman bleas more than anything I´ve tried, second choice would be LGM´s.
