Muel
Hello all I am registered to vote, and I do. I believe it's rather important. Wife disagrees, wife doesn't understand politics on account of her tiny tiny woman brain, and believes if she were to vote, it would be a bad thing, because she is silly, and silly people simply shouldn't vote or there would be chaos. So does she need to register and refuse to vote, or do we just not register her at all? My gut feeling is that she needs to register but refuse to vote, so that the results show the correct percentage of people who are just too silly to be allowed to vote. So, which? LukasMcNeal
Don't you automatically get registered? I swear that happens round here?
JD™
Register. Being on the electoral roll is about more than voting. Helps with all sorts of borrowing and what not.
Tony Harrison
I'm pretty sure you risk £1000 fine if you don't register on the electoral roll. I disagree with the electoral roll for two reasons: firstly you have to opt out of having your details sold off. Why should you have to opt out of that? And secondly anyone can view it at their town hall, so there's no way to hide yourself should you so choose. Hence I'm not on the electoral roll. Yes, it doesn't help with credit ratings, but I'm not looking for credit or a mortgage, and have two decent credit cards with high limits should I need them. N.Wood
I'm on it but don't bother voting (usually busy masterbating). Think they send it every year to check your details havn't changed.
Luke Dunstan
It improves your credit rating, which is why I signed up. Don't plan on voting though. Edited July 25, 2012 by Luke Dunstan
