ClarkeHutchison
I am thinking about selling my 20" bike and starting to ride a stock. I would like to keep my 20" and get a 26" but cannot afford to. I was just wondering from others expereience how long it takes to adjust to riding a bigger bike I am 5ft 10 and 16 years old?, Will it help me improve onto doing better things? Does anyone have any idea of a good frame which is ideal for pure trials riding because i will build the bike from the frame? Thanks
siontyrex
i had the same thing going on 4 months ago so i went for the 24" trialsy bike. i still dont regret that!
Kevinfor
i went from a mod to stock and i find the stock much easier and more fun, might just be me getting more confident though dunno
CalRobbo341
Do you know someone with a stock you can have a play on? Will be worth it.
trialsiain
consider a 24 if you find 26 to big
ClarkeHutchison
Hi thanks for comments. Everyone who rides with me usemods so cant try stock, and i was thinking of a 24" but i think their more of a streety bmx feeling bike rather than pure trials. Anyone got any opinions on frames because that would be very helpful.
trialsiain
i have echo trial 24" which is nothing like a bmx i find it easier to ride than my old 26" zoo
ClarkeHutchison
Hi trialsiain Are you able to do sidehops, gaps, hooks etc easily on the 24"? i am still leaning towards the 26" though because i ride a beta moto trials bike aswell so i think it will suit me well. Still want opinions on frames Thanks

ClarkeHutchison
Nice vid See what you mean about still doing trials bike moves on a 24" , amazing sidehops. Love the guy at 1.30 thats brilliant
Azarathal
24" trials bikes without a seat are typically ridden as a normal trials bike, it's only the seated bikes that are Dmac style
Jake.
My 24" echo is the best bike I've ever ridden, other than harmertrials echo 24". I cannot compare it to mod or stock, it's the best of both... I can gap further, hop higher, sidehop easier. I find everything easier on my 24" haha.
ClarkeHutchison
I was thinking about the echo pure 26" frame, but now also the echo trial 2011 24" are these good choices or are there better frames out there.

ogre
although you've spun off to considering a tgs 24" i moved to a 26" from a 20" and it helped me, the bigger wheels are way more forgiving and confidence inspiring, that said i ended up moving back to a 20" (4 years later) and i've got a streety 24" too... i'm tempted with the idea of building up a nice light 26" when i can ride again... I rode a 20" and moved to a 26" and rode that for a couple of months while still having my 20" in the garage because I had the money at the time, anyways I seemed to keep going back on my 20" because I felt like the 26" was a little too big for me and now I still have the 20" and the 26" in the garage and its so hard to choose when you have both of the bikes so if your going to make a move make sure you get rid of one bike then get the other if thats what you want to do but its your choice if you want to move or not but I would consider getting rid of the bike and move, try not to keep both bikes cause thats when it makes the problem even worst. Just from my point of view, others might think differently. Andy.B
ClarkeHutchison
Hi Andy I need to sell my mod bike to get the money for building up a 24" or 26" so i dont think i will have that problem.
ogre
or just straight out trade it for the right thing?

ogre
don't get rid of one bike to then spend weeks building up another bike, you're riding will suffer if you're off a bike... go for a straight trade if you can...
ChrisTrials2012
Actually maybe a break from riding while you build up a stock can help you accept the stocks difference of handling and power delivery easier, just an idea
