Kieran Morrison
I recently burst my crossover pipe and I'm Going to cut the amount of hose needed of my current hose as it's way to long. The crossover you can buy on tartty which is already fitted with barbed fittings has 2 different sizes (m6/m8) comes with an olive and shroud nut. I'm confused as to why I would need them? Could I not just buy 2 barbed fittings, put them into the cut hose and put them onto my brake without a shroud nut and olive? And are the barbed fittings the same size but the m6/m8 is referring to something else to do with the other parts on the cylinder? Sorry if it's confusing, don't really know how to explain what I'm confused about haha. Cheers Edit : I'm using the newer cylinders if that helps. AdamR28
There are two types of slave cylinder, some have M8 holes, so some people need an M8/M6 crossover, and others need an M6/M6 crossover - hence the two options. I can't work out what you are confused about either, haha, you've answered your own question
Kieran Morrison
Think I was just confused that you could buy an m8/m6 crossover but only one option for barbed fittings. Just decided to order the actual built crossover this morning haha
dave33
You could just use the fittings you have, cut the old hose off and make a new cross over. Then use a new olive to put the hose back into the lever
