N.Wood
Oh hello you, I've recently procured an echo pure 2011 and need some sort of 150 x 30 stem for it as I like high bars. Now I've been using a Tarty stem for years which has served me well, but I'm out of touch on these new higher rise stems. Which are good? Which ones snap? Which ones are good value? Which of the sloping top cap systems actually work and arn't a PITA? I'd rather something that doesn't have gay as f**k graphics. Money not an issue. Cheers now! Jake.
If money isn't and issue and you're set on a 150x30... http://www.tartybike.../c29p11379.html Edit: Or the TryAll 3D forged. They both seem like popular stems, never heard of either snapping. Edited July 18, 2012 by JMCD
gage-mann
I had the tarty stem (125x25)? on my echo pure when I got it and it rode well but nowhere near as good as the mod 3D stem, it's really good, you dont have to run spacers as the stem is pretty high and the clearence for my knee when sidehopping was awesome, no more bruised knees and a "roomy" bike. Only thing I had go wrong was the stem cracked underneith the handlebars but apparently was a rare problem and I now have the rockman stem which comes with a topcap that does'nt bend.
