SamKidney
Im guessing you mean TR Caged or the TR Platform pedals. As above, depends. The TR platform pedal axles seem to have a tendency to snap going by peoples experiences with them on here. Whether that was just a run of pedals that did it, and has now been solved I dont know. dann2707
I prefer platforms, don't become lethal when it's wet.
CalopS
The bodies always crack on the caged ones. The platforms seem stronger
Dave Sutton
Platforms can cause big injury to shins, However they are so much better than caged, Get the platforms and ride with shinpads under your jeans and save yourself some injury! Jake.
I prefer platforms, had a series of cage pedals. Tryall, echo, double cage pedals. Then had onza magnesium platforms, and now echo platforms. They're a good weight for platorms, and grip really well. Only downside is nasty shindigs, but cages do that too if not careful. isitafox
TR platforms all the way, get some Bonz pins on there for added grip and pain! Edited July 16, 2012 by isitafox
Andeee
After being a v8 owner for many years and going to tr platform pedals there is a big difference. In terms of shape of the body so it allows more grip and better positioning of the feet and the lightness. The TR pedals do seem to be worth it and i would advise them. Only minor is when i saw Boris Pachevils vid 7.. Look below The pedal actually comes of just leaving the axel and he still carries on riding! Crazyyy. Thats why i checked the inside bearings and put threadlock on the pedal bolt.

My axles are still going strong after 2years now. If you have a really good comp style and wont bash your pedals cage can be good, if not you'll bend the cages so quick and its the platforms for you
