Leeeeee
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=170872111954 Not bad for £125 and I know v brakes but I can always upgrade, im not massively knowledgable on trials but I'm thinking to change that rear tyre for a chunkier beast ( let me know what's best if u can ) and upgrade brakes if needs be and grips and bits. Oh and Hi
isitafox
You'll struggle to find tyre's that are decent for the rear as the rim is 20" as opposed to 19" which the majority of mods use and I'm pretty sure (though don't quote me on it) that you won't fit a magura evo mount on the rear so you'll have to make sure your V is well setup with a good set of pads. Other than that I'd say £125 is a good price. EDIT: And get a set of riser bars on there, will make all the difference! Leeeeee
Ok cool it's just my starter bike anyway if I start getting better and sway away from downhill to trials lol then il invest in a better bike, could you link me a decent set of bars that you would recommend ?? isitafox
I personally used to run Tryall Rage bars on my mods which felt amazing but they don't sell them anymore so 2nd hand only I'm afraid. Other than that you're probably best going for something like the Viz 720 or Trialtech sport or high rise bars http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/handlebars/trialtech_sport_riser_bar/c136p10502.html

Cap
i have a 20" on the back and i have a maxxis creapy crawler 2.5 and it works fine I'm going to bet you have a 19" on the back Please note: This tyre is marked as 20" x 2.50, but it is to fit a 19" rim! The marking on the tyre refers to the outer diameter of the tyre once inflated on a rim.

danrobinson
i measured it then and it said 16inch so i think i did something wrong the wheel is the same as my front Edited July 14, 2012 by danrobinson
isitafox
I can absolutely guarantee that the rear is smaller than the front. They may be the same make and model of hub and rim but the rear is absolutely positively a 19" rim. Not trying to take the piss or make you look bad or owt dude but you do not have a 20" rear wheel.

isitafox
The 20x2.0 is a 20" tyre as it's for the front but the 20x2.5 is actually to fit a 19" rim. Says in the description; Maxxis Creepy Crawler Trials Tyre The first offering in the trials arena from Maxxis, with specifications to meet the needs of the most demanding rider: the Creepy Crawler front specific trials tire offers a supple ride, with excellent traction that gives you the confidence to make the leap. The Creepy Crawler rear trials tire provides discerning riders with ultimate control for edging, smearing and all around trials dominance. The 25 TPI casing of the rear tire provides a slow dampening feel while protecting against pinch flats. The Maxxis Creepy Crawler is the best trials tire available on the market today. Block tread design Front and rear specific modified trials tire Features: Rear tire is built on 67-387 casing (19”)Front tire is built on 54-406 casing (20”)Block tread design Please note the 20 x 2.5 is designed to fit a 20inch Mod Trials Bike rear wheel. Although classified as 20inch the rim diameter is 19", therefore the tyre will not fit a regular 20inch rim. onza pro series guy
CONFUUUUUUUUUUUUUSED DOOOOOT COM >.< Generally 20" trials bikes have 19" rear rims, it's just the way it is for perfomance reasons. However so that people understand that they are buying the correct tyre for their 20" bike some tyres may be refered to or stamped as 20", to stop people thinking there is a differance between 19" and 20" bikes; there is not because obviously 19" bikes don't exsit. This is why 20" wheel-ed bikes are normally refered to as 'mods' which comes from modified in that the rear wheel is different in diameter to the front, which was a modification that used to have to be made to bikes before there were any specific bikes for trials. However all you need to know is that your rear wheel IS 19", although it might say 20", this is so that it is easier for people to purchase the correct tyre for their bike as, generally, 19" wheels are rather unheard of. I t's really not that hard to grasp. Edited July 17, 2012 by onza pro series guy
