wozz
Just wondering what peoples choice of brakes are? i currently am using Avid v-brakes and was thinking of servicing them so they hopefully did the job. Do you think it is worth doing or should i save the cash and save for some maguras or something?
Lewis Gething
Service for V-Brakes? Do that stuff yourself, and besides, you don't have to do a great deal to them anyway. Just upgrade your brake pads to something better such as the TNN LGV.

Lewis Gething
Consider grinding your rims if you want proper stopping power. Also remember that V-Brakes can be just as good if not better than Maguras, so dont feel like you must upgrade to HS33

Skorp
Vees are great when adjusted properly. Just get some good pads and a good grind Lube the housing and wire good too, and adjust the springs on the calipers so that the brake will have a smoother feel.
