Kieran Morrison
Alot of my spokes are loose and this is causing problems with my rim moving making the brake rub. Is there a certain way to tighten them or do I just turn each spoke nipple until each spoke is tight? Any help appreciated Edited July 5, 2012 by Kieran Morrison
SunnyBoy
Before you start tightening any of the nipples, make sure you've got something lined up against the rim to make sure you're properly truing the wheel. I normally just tape something to either side of my forks if I'm doing a quick fix - maybe a pen or something ('cus I'm ghetto like that - and can't afford feeler gauges ). Then depending on which side of the rim the nipple is located - tension the spoke to pull the rim towards that side and vice versa. Just make sure you don't go mad tightening them up. Blake
Tighten them all the same amount of turns, should true a bit generally then you can work on the buckle
