liam n Posted July 12, 2012 Report Share Posted July 12, 2012 Buy really cheap ones from ebay. mine were £2 delivered. then take them apart, tie the wire inside the headphone, then put the headphone back together adding super glue to everything (except the speaker) then fold the wire coming out of the headphone back on itself in a "s" shape and use electricians tape to hold it in place, so the wire pulls on itself rather than the speaker. mine have lasted 4 months so far and still going down sound particularly bad either. eskimo Posted July 12, 2012 Report Share Posted July 12, 2012 the issue is cable routing, get some cable clips, they clip the cable and clip to your clothes then you can ensure the cable goes roughly where you want and doesn't f**k up. my issue has always been that the jack that goes into my phone gets ruined as my phone flips about in my pocket or something... i wouldn't mind a smaller player that clips on or something... Route the cable inside of your clothes. Get a cable extension to avoid the lower end cable being the headphones. One that has a angled jack perhaps. Get a silicon case to cause friction between the phone and your pocket lining. Zipped pockets. No worries. Never broken any headphones, cassette, or mp3, ever on the bmx.
