bike_dummie
Hi, Gonna get a HTC One X soon hopefully after my last phone was stolen so i am looking into insurance. This is my first time insuring a phone as i cannot afford to keep replacing my phone every 6 months so i was wondering how and where you isurue your phones. I was looking at insurance from My Gadget Buddy at £4.99 a month covering damage, theft, unauthorized calls, breakdown and loss. This is the cheapest i could find with a reasonable policy as most of the cheaper insurance on covered up to the first 6 months. I also thought about putting the phone on the home insurance as a possession outside the home. Any one else do this? What would it cover ect? So what other options do i have or cheaper alternatives? Thanks, Adam.

bike_dummie
Looked at Protect My Bubble and it was £8 a month for no better cover than My Gadget Buddy at £5 a month. Edited July 4, 2012 by bike_dummie

Jolfa
I went through my bank, £7.50 a month which includes my overdraft (that I was paying £2/month for anyway). This covers absolutely everything, including any other gadgets I have so laptop, iPod, cameras etc Can even have it stolen from my car (as long as it was in glovebox or boot) and they'll cover that so I don't have to go through car insurance
tomturd
If you have a natwest account and pay for 'advantage gold' (think its £12 a month) you get some handy stuff, namely: breakdown cover (not sure to what extent) mobile phone insurance travel insurance normally i wouldn't go for such a thing but it got me £999 off my mortgate too. edit: beaten to it
bike_dummie
Went for the Tesco deal in the end as there's no point in me paying extra as i use the family pc ect, the only cover i didn't get is abroad. Thanks for all the help, very much appreciated .
