dantrial
What is the most noticable way of changing the height of the handle bars? New stem or riser bars? Im currently riding a Monty 218 Kamel and I feel that Im to far forward to get good control of lifting the bikes front end. Is this normal on a mod? Im 167 cm tall som im not the biggest guy around either. When I ride the bike with legs fully stretched and pedaling my pelvis is just a bit higher than the handlebars. What is the correct way to have it if there is such a thing? All help is appreciated
Skoze
What bar and stem are you running? Shorter, higher stem if possible and some higher rise bars, maybe a few stem stackers if you can fit them in.
krazykid009
Can't beat 50mm of stem stackers, 35* stem and Inspired bars :wink2:

SamKidney
Id say a stem with the same length, but with a higher rise. The increased rise alone will make it feel shorter.
Alex Dark
Id say a stem with the same length, but with a higher rise. The increased rise alone will make it feel shorter. Chuck some stem stackers underneath the stem to achieve the same effect if possible
dantrial
How high can I go with the stackers? I assume that there is a safe limit with regards to secure fastening of the stem.
TROYston
Half the stem Max. Basically so there is one bolt clamping your forks.

There's no real mark, I'd say half way, as said above, I'd use half way as the absolute maximum. Having said that, personally I don't trust it if the top of the steerer is below the top bolt, just as personal preference and a little of paranoia. But I wouldn't recommend going to the maximum unless it really is neccissary.
Cap
How high can I go with the stackers? I assume that there is a safe limit with regards to secure fastening of the stem. Personally I would say not having the steerer tube any lower than the top bolt, but then I like my face
