Echo Sl Titanium Caged Vs Echo Sl Titanium Platform

I'm looking at treating my self with some pedals and was just wondering out of the platform ti and cage ti witch is best, I know the caged ones are lighter , I'm using the echo try platform at the moment and the 5 10 descent shoes :)

i worked out that one of the nukeproof ti axles for the neutron alloy pedals will fit the electron with a little modification :D

you also loose one of the sealed bearings dropping weight thurther.

by my maths thats a 270g electron pedal.

10g heavier than echo ti platforms.

but its £35 to replace the body, bush and bearing, you just buy a new electron every time you trash the body :D win win really

I was meaning the material for the axles, as the ti bolts echo make are poor.

Any ti pedal axles iv seen in Mtb/road etc have always been really strong. Same for the welgo mag with ti axles, I had some and gave them a beating and are still going

echo use the best alloy you can get. i am saying i think alloy pedals have had there day, the newer nylon pedals are where its at
