David
Hi all, It appears that the "Random small questions" thread is no longer here so apologies for the new thread. On the back of my driving license (Full Motorbike and Car) I have the provisional codes fkp (as expected) but the start date for these is the date that I took my A2 (i.e. 33bhp restricted) motorbike test back in the day. Am I right in saying that this should state the date that I first received my provisional license? (Some ~1 year before the printed date). I have looked at my counterpart license and it does not mention the provisional license start date anywhere. Any help would be great. Cheers, Dave
RobinJI
Mines exactly the same. Well, I don't have a bike licence, but my car licence shows the same dates for the B, B1 and fkp. I'm guessing that's how it's meant to be, I expect you receive a 'new' renewed fkp licence when you pass your test.
Muel
I believe it's the date your licence was last renewed, whether you change the picture or not.
Waggy
Hi Dave Any categories listed on the rear of a pink photo card licence are not provisional. These are the vehicles that you have full entitlement for. Your provisional entitlment is transfered to full entitlement on sucsefully passing your test. So cat.P is for moped on passing your bike test, F & K on passing your car test, F being agricultural tractors& K being mowing machine or vehicle controlled by a pedestrian. Some are subject to conditions of use. Visit www.direct.gov.uk/motoring & click on the link to vehicles I can drive. Hope this helps Waggy
