Why is it that people solely go on the BB height and wheelbase of a bike to how 'good' it rides. There have been many frames built over the years that have had an awesome feel without these extreme lengths and heights.

True, this is why I'm asking for how good it rides. But a lot of people are against low bb, seems like it's the fad.

Yeah but, when you get an odd combo of geo, like 73 HA and 1070mm wheelbase, it isn't ideal for taps, while compromising on gaps, and as for BB height, +30 is a bit too low for me personally .

Yes but something like that will benefit in other areas and techniques, such as two wheel balancing, gaps and ups to front and front wheel pivoting. What I'm stating is that people all seem to jump on the band wagon and think that bottom bracket height, back wheel control and weight is what makes a bike ride 'nicely'.

Phat mike is riding a Phase 1.2 here which is 1075mm wheelbase with a +5mm bottom bracket and is flying up 54-55 inch taps. Just because a frame is 1100mm long doesn't mean it will fly up stuff, the balance of the other measurements has to be right.

No, I get where you are coming from, all I'm saying is that the HA of my frame, plus the BB height, don't lend itself to my style of riding. I see Phat Mikes vid, and I think, the bike suits him for his riding, not that is a good frame. 1100mm or other long frames allow a less vertical tap, so in theory, they do actually get up things better as you're not struggling against a loop out, and you can raise the bike from a more normal position. Also, I had a phase 1.2 and it was nice enough, just not well designed.

Yes of course you can hit a wall higher with a longer wheelbased frame but if has a masively high bottom bracket they are alot more sensitive and you find yourself falling back down to where you started if you put down slightly too much pressure or if you land with you weight slightly too far back you have great difficulty holding it. Thats what im trying to say. frames shouldn't get judged by how 'well' they sidehop, tap or how easily they sit on the backwheel, but the balance of each technique trials involves, not just be a one trick pony pogo stick that you bash sidehops out on all day.

You´re looping out because of short cs and/or high BB. Everyone knows that low bb frames were so much better for taps.

Hello!

I re-fish this topic because finally I get the Ozonys Cannibal V4 frame and I think that is interesting to close the topic with a little review.

First impressions: The finishing of the frame are amazing, very nice, although in some parts, only in some parts, water transfer graphics are a little bit weak and could be erased easily scratching with a nail, but nothing serious, the anodized finishing it's very beautiful.

I find some differences from the V3 ones, seems that is a little bit lighter, and some gussets are bigger.

Comparing with my old Yaabaa 1499 I feel that the BB is clearly higher, although 45mm is not a really high bb nowadays. More or less same length as Yaabaa and lots lighter.

Ridding feelings: I really can execute all movements easily than yaabaa, I just needed 2 ridings to accommodate to the new geo, In gaps I can get more or less the same length, maybe a little bit more because the weigh and response. Sidehops have been clearly improved and taps more or less.

It's a very confortable frame. It's more tractable and accurate in movements than old yaabaa and in back wheel are much more stable.

No back pains related to geos or adaptation positions.

Just what I want, I'm very proud of my final decision.

Hope that helps others that are thinking to get this fantastic frame.
