Duncy H
I really feel for you matt Not nice news to hear, Ben is probably one of the best people to ask that I can think of! Best to keep the rest of yourself active i think, like i used to go running and play non competetive football with my broken arm. But of coarse for you it will be the other way round, become a mad mouse hunter!
TrialsIsHard
That's seriously rubbish for you dude, I find I can kill days on Skyrim.. but that's not very productive! Hope it all heals nice and quick for you
bikeperson45
I'm in a similar situation, haven't rode since November and am just about able to ride a bike normally again now, so it could be worse When I couldn't ride I pretty much watched movie and played my x-box more, but I always feel like I've wasted a day if I haven't got out of the house (school/ work doesn't count). I started just walking my dog a lot but it gets boring, and that's probably not relevant to you anyway. Tried to get interested in some photography stuff which is still kind of lasting, organised a fairly big Jubilee barbeque thing which took up a lot of time and plus I felt that was a decent use of my time. Read some books, build a model rocket (not for me though, don't find them interesting either) and got up to some other little projects. Basically I've been filling my time with the stuff I wouldn't have done when I could ride, if there's something you thought about doing before your injury, do it now. Ben Swales
Bad news... hope you're bearing up. I was off the bike for about six months with my ankle (dislocated ankle, torn ligaments all the way round, broken talus plus a dislocated shoulder into the bargain) after an operation and a lot of physio. I was pretty much housebound for three months as I couldn't use crutches with my shoulder (yeah, that sucked). I ended up watching a LOT of DVD box sets, bike videos and films, catching up with the long list of books I'd been meaning to read but not had time, developing a healthy experimental interest in tramadol and seduced my next door naighbour (which worked out well - we're still together eight months later). As soon as I could use crutches I tried to get out of the house every day, at least for a bit, to make sure I got some fresh air and exercise as being in the house constantly for months had taken its toll on my fitness and sanity. You could learn to play chess (or work on your game if you already can), learn a new language, exercise the rest of your body as much as possible and as soon as you are able, get on with your physio exercises, read books, watch films and series, come up with little projects, that kind of thing. It sucks though, there's no getting round that. I'll pop some trials DVDs round at some point if you like?

TROYston
If your doing online surveys i would create a new email address, otherwise yours will get cluttered with junk. I have no idea about them and how legitimate they are, I've seen them though. If they do work, let me know .

Loads of betting sites offering free money with no deposit required when you sign up. You have to gamble with it a few times before you can withdraw but it's worth having a look at!
