I never really play on games I don't think, I just want a phone that's pretty rapid and up to date as my Samsung Galaxy S is getting old and freezes all the time and doesn't do what you want it to do.

Know exactly what you mean about having to use two hands for stuff now and again. That's why i'm not after a huge phone.

I'm very happy not to go any bigger than my current Arc S. Besides anything else, any bigger and you can't actually reach the extremes of the screen without using 2 hands, which is a ball-ache.

This is exactly why I've stuck with the same phone over the past few years rather than switching to anything bigger. As soon as you are forced to use a second hand to use your phone, you're doing something wrong.

Its not Android but its semi-related. Just upgraded to Bada 2.0 on my wave

What a nightmare!

1- Samsung Kies, what a pile it didn't load, so repaired it

2- Samsung Kies firmware updater crashed EVERY-TIME

3- Re-installed it properly, Samsung Kies crashed mid way from installing firmware!?

4- Had to flash phone back to 1.2 or whatever it was. Kies crashing killed my phone badly.

5- Got rid of one line of script to do with run-time and worked fine installing.

6- Kies to 3 1/2 hours to back-up my phones data. (top spec gaming pc)

7- Kies worked finally! Installed it (well i thought it did) phone restarted just to be welcomed back to the 1.2 Bada look. :pirate:

8- Then IT decided to install it again to waste more of my time.

9- Finished that and asked me if i would like to put my backed up data back onto the phone. Why not :)

10- 2 hours later it was on app's still 21/33.

11- Find process. END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But Bada 2.0 is a massive improvement, but 6 hours for it?! I hate Samsung.

Download 'Viber' app to make completely free calls and messages to anyone on viber even if you are abroad. Beta test version of viber app is currently now available for Blackberry and Windows phone.

A mate of my mine recently informed me about a week ago that ASDA are doing a special in-store offer on an android phone (T-Mobile Rapport Android smartphone) for £30 (£50 if you buy it online). So pick em up whilst stocks last.

Got my new phone. It's amazing, so many little features that are so handy!

As i've got a 500mb cap on my data I found this in the settings which is incredible! :D Can choose data limit by moving the notches on the side and choose a date to refresh each month.

That's pretty simple aye :P mines same though:

Got the HTC One S in the end. So happy though, it's massive! And to say I was going to get the bigger one X. The battery is really good on this too even under fairly heavy usage which is always a bonus. Something that my last phone lacked.

The memory usage widget is sick!

Then on another two screens I have calender and music widget.

Nice, like the stealthy black layout. Took me ages trying to work out how to add folders in the menu! Were all those widgets standard on the phone or did you have to get them from the Play Store?

Loading time for messages isn't a problem for me, best let Dan field this one as this is my first Android.

Oli, Yeah it seems to be pretty rapido now although everything else is. Takes next to no time to open the camera and take a focused pic.

The independent Wifi and Data switches were downloaded from the store, it was called "powerful control"

Also the data counter widget is 3rd party too, searched "data counter".

Everything else is standard to HTC and android.

I'm using a HTC Desire HD, which is due to get the ICS 4.0 in late July/August, and really hoping this update sorts it out.

The problem I have isn't opening message threads (I have them capped to 100). It's when you click the send button and your phone displays a loading symbol for 5 seconds and won't do anything else.. not a huge problem I know, but it p*sses me off so much! Sometimes even envy iOS when sending texts :P

Totally looking into 'powerful control' now, that sounds like a great idea..
