dannytrialskid
Im running oil in my Echo brake at it is ridiculously spongy and I hate it. Just wondering if water is a good idea on an echo brake? Anyone using water on an echo brake atm? Rim brake btw*
Ryan_Harbird
Urmm sorry im not 100% sure but iv seen a bike advertised with water bled rim brakes but the seals dont last aslong because it doesnt lubricate the seals aswell as oil
williams
I've heard of some Echo brake leaking, and some that works. The majority fails, but you might be that lucky bast*rd Just joking. But almost evryone told me that my 2011 magyra hs33 where going to leak etc, Bullsh*t! Regarding the seals, I've heard that seals get swollen when you change the fluid, it might happen but might also work. It's like a 50/50 chance. It's not a hard fix if it does get swollen though.
dannytrialskid
Would a mixture of oil and water work? :L

ghostrider88
I'm using mineral oil. Pure sponge. :/ Sponginess isn´t caused by type of fluid,it´s caused by air in the system or flex of brake/frame.
ashleys sugden
four bolt booster will do the trick
dannytrialskid
Ok I didn't know that. Well my wheel needs truing a bit, so that will effect it for sure. I'll put a booster on aswell and see if the fixes it.
ashleys sugden
try harder pads with aluminum backings so there isnt any flex in the backings
