Sam T
Looks awesome. Every time i look at it i want to raw my forks. Do you reckon oven cleaner will do the same thing as caustic soda?
harmertrials
Looks awesome. Every time i look at it i want to raw my forks. Do you reckon oven cleaner will do the same thing as caustic soda? I tried oven cleaner on some pedals a while back, barely touched them. It's said to work so I'm sure there are some more potent ones out there, just left me with a nasty cough.
Lewis Gething
You going to update the pics when your tyres arrive? What width is the Rocket Ron?

Lewis Gething
Cool that looks sick! I will probably run a Rocket Ron front and Fat Albert rear when I get an Echo 24"

harmertrials
So.. I ride 2 miles downhill to my only local spot.. First move, puncture on rear. Not rating this rear tyre right now. Fun walk home.
SamKidney
The new Rockman Spade 24" forks have a built in booster. Makes them a winner.
Carlperkins
haha after putting a DH tube in to stop the flats.. youll be at the same rear wheel weight as you would if you had a decent tyre i had the same predicament... The new Rockman Spade 24" forks have a built in booster. Makes them a winner. doesnt everything with rockman written on it snap?
harmertrials
The new Rockman Spade 24" forks have a built in booster. Makes them a winner. No need for a booster in my opinion

isitafox
Looking well! How many grams does single walling save roughly? Very tempted to do my Echo urban rear but pretty scared of it puncturing all the time. But had a go on one of those single walled onza rims and as theres more air in the back tyre you seem to bounce so much more, good for sidehops i'd imagine. I got my Trialtech sport circle rear rim lighter than the SL version and it still seemed just as strong and I've never had a pinch yet in the rear

harmertrials
Update 20.06.12: So... the rear rim took a beating on a big bail at tunbridge wells (toad rocks) on saturday, causing the sidewalls to cave in in various places. Did as good a job as I could with it in the vice using a hammer, and got it as true as possible ready for sunday's comp. 20 seconds into section one she folded. The lovely Carl Perkins then sent me a rim on monday for the cost of postage, as well as me ordering some new spokes and a sprocket from tarty. Built it up yesterday and away we go again. Also gave me chance to polish my hub up nice. Will update new full build pictures soon, cousts have well and truly bedded in on the front and rear, best pads on the market. Now running polished 4 finger levers front and rear too.
