Carlperkins
anyone??
Mark W
I have a feeling it's around 495-497, but I wouldn't swear to that...
FamilyBiker
why dont you measure it from side to side(on the inside) and add the wall thickness x 2? just a thought from a bike mechanic... Mark W
That alone doesn't give you the ERD though, as Sheldon says...
FamilyBiker
That alone doesn't give you the ERD though, as Sheldon says... right, but 2mm here or there is to be compensated with different nipples
Mark W
Not as such - the spokes still ideally need to reach the nipple seat for the best strength possible. The length of the nipples is pretty much irrelevant for that.
Carlperkins
hm.. well i want to lace my front wheel radial, so i want to get it right. and all i have is a tape measure to do so. will the inner rim diameter plus say 3mm work? (1mm for each rim thickness and 0.5mm for nipple seat) close enough or do i need to be more precise when measuring?
Dave Sutton
Ask tarty, they sorted mine out for me
AndrewEH1
Measure the old spokes? Unless you are getting a new hub which may mean the spokes will need to be a different length, or are lacing it different (I don't know what the standard set-up is).
