Thanks
onza pro series guy
the new HS33s are the same as HS11s so you may as well go for the cheeper HS11 brake. Older HS33s that were still metal came out on top in a recent poll on here a little while ago, so personally I'd say keep an eye out for '05 or '99 style HS33s on here.
Greetings
Yeah, no real reason behind purchasing an HS33 rather than an HS11. Both brakes are a pig to bleed. Haven't managed to bleed mine other than in a bath, many of my riding buddies had the same problems despite following the service manual to the dot. And of course the new brakes leak a lot. From my experience (I sell these things) on average about 20% of them fail within a few months.
SamKidney
Would have made more sense for Magura to have continued with a revised version of the 05. No sharp point, rounded corners and maybe, just maybe, have the body Cnc machined, like the older Echo SL lever bodies are. I should take over magura. You guys would have the best brakes evarzz. I might have a pop at machining my own set of lever bodies to run 4 finger levers + magura internals. murph82
I've just got some 11's and I'm really pleased with performance. Even on what's a so so bleed they work as well as i would want and the stroke even with blue Blood in is nice and light. They feel quite soft though, which again i like but if you like firmness in the lever be prepared to shell out on a booster and cnc pads! Bottom line, no point spending more on a 33!
