Sam Nichols
I was going to post this in the actual disputes section, but then I thought it might get in the way of real issues rather than me whining I basically have a request; once a dispute is resolved can people stop changing the title to "sorted now, please close" or something similar. I've just started making more use of the classifieds section as I make my way through lots of bits and bobs I have lying around and I'm pretty paranoid about dealing with people I don't know through this site. Also, this too... ...if a dispute title doesn't have the members name in the title, ie "possible scammer" and "have you ever dealt with this guy" it should be (edited) by the mods. I know there is a feedback system in place, but I'd really like to be able to quick scan through the Disputes section and see if the person attempting to deal with me has any previous history of dicking people around. Obviously sometimes genuine cock ups happen and things get resolved, but it goes without saying that I'm going to read a thread through if it regards the person I'm planning on dealing with. Perhaps it could be made that the Topic Title is not available for editing once the topic has been made? So the 'resolved, please close' bit could be a sub-title/topic tag thing? Any thoughts? Sam Nichols
Yeah, I'd forgotten to mention that.
tomturd
All good suggestions. There doesn't seem to be a way to stop members editing their own topic titles on a per forum basis which is a bit of a bummer. I'll update the forum rules to start getting people to put the members name in the topic title
JT!
And to be super organized, you could sticky all the active / unresolved disputes so they just don't head off the bottom of the page never knowing what ever happened.
