Ingram
Hey guys. Apologies for starting a new brake pad topic, I was just after some advice regarding the heat sink blue pads. I currently use a smooth rim and was going to purchase some heatsink blues but I just wanted to ask if anyone had any experience with the compound coming away from the bakings? I've had it happen to me before on some other company pads and I'm a bit paranoid about it happening again on other makes! Thanks
isitafox
If your running a smooth rim I'd go with the yellows. I used them myself on smooth rims for quite a while and they are superb. What backings are you gonna go for?
TrialZonn
I use the CNC Heatsink Blues on the front on a smooth rim and they are fantastic, tremendous power. You have to keep your rim clean and everything works fine. Yellows are good for smooth too, but I prefer them on a light grind. You can't go wrong with either. Never had this issue with the compound coming away.
Ingram
Great thank you ) it wasn't with the heatsink pads but I've had it happen with a set of hope m4 pads once upon a time! I've just been a bit paranoid since then :-/ Edited May 23, 2012 by Ingram
