Boumsong
Bingo. Dream Machines it was. There portfoilio does look good and the guys certainly talk the talk. I'll be pretty much going in as a direct competitor to them. Its good to know what I'm up against. I'll be going over this guys bike again in the same colour F.O.C at the end of summer so I'll detail the work at the time. Hopefully I'll have a bit more to show before then though. Revolver
New clutch cover gasket is on it's way, I'm going to borrow some feeler gauges too and check the valve clearances. Apparently this should be regular maintenance for this bike. Anything to keep it reliable! Need to check that the shitty oil filter isn't caked up, else the camshaft will melt. Revolver
Hooray, valve clearances and CCT were fine! Boo, stripped rocker cover thread. Boo, hole in the oil filter. Superboo, none on the Internet to buy.
Muel
Rocker cover threads are always a fag to helicoil without dropping swarf into the engine. Can you make it work as it is?
Revolver
Yeah, only one of them stripped ouT of two, and the other one's holding it down nicely.
Muel
Keep an eye on it for oil leaking out. A bit of weepage is OK but you don't want it dripping. It'll be fiiiinnnneeee.
Revolver
I need some wire mesh too, to make a new oil filter :/ Edited June 16, 2013 by Revolver
Muel
Can't you just buy a new oil filter?
Revolver
In a perfect world where there are actually some available, yes.
Muel
Hmm. I'm not certain, but I'm fairly sure that the CB125-T just uses a CB125 engine. If this is the case:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OIL-FILTER-TO-SUIT-HONDA-CB125-BRAND-NEW-/380156412542?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item588316827e
Revolver
It's not that, it's a little rounded corner rectangle of metal mesh.
Muel
Hmm. In that case I think I was probably wrong.
Revolver
I've bought a sheet of the right mesh from eBay so I'll have to chop it down and get it to fit. Fun!
Muel
Good plan! Might be worth making a template out of card or summat first though to check it fits?
Revolver
Well, the old filter came in a metal frame so I need to trim the new stuff down to fit that and clamp it in and then it should fit. Just need to do it without either snapping the frame or making it too bent to work.
Revolver
I made a resto thread here - http://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=3624022 Sure wish Miss Indiprint Higgy would get back to me. Ben Cox
cmsnl is an amazing website for part codes and stuff, shame they are hideously expensive! Used them as a reference when i was sorting the KH out. Will keep following your thread mate . In other news, theory test tomorrow Ben
Revolver
Wemoto seems like the best value so far. The part codes will be handy though! I hope the electrical connectors will be easy to fix.

BenJohnson
Not had to bike long but so far I'm in love with it. Done a coupe of little upgrades since I bought it including a new screen and full Beowulf exhaust system. It rides like a big supermoto.
