Joe@Onza
It will be that colour, With Black graphics and matching forks. Should weigh 1.45KG frame only and complete bike around 8.5KG. Will reatail at £1000 for complete and £290ish for frame only. Will be here in July and the geo is 1010, +80, 350. No bash plate mounts nor disc mounts. Think that about covers it. Edited May 20, 2012 by Joe@Onza
dann2707
Will be here in July and the geo is 1010, +80, 350. No bash plate mounts nor disc mounts. That sounds literally perfect! Top job. Don't go over the top with the black graphics though, clean and simple is where it's at now I reckon.

Joe@Onza
Yep, really stiff.
dann2707
Great stuff, one thing that let the comp down was the rear magura flex.
SamKidney
This frame is just what Im after! Looks amazing, has a built in booster and NO BASH MOUNTS! Geo is nearly the same as the Echo Lite too, but its going to be cheaper, which makes it more of a win. Great job onza, hit the nail on the head recently Just out of interest, did your geometries on both the 26" + 20" Genesis frames mean to be near identical to the 2011 Echo Pure + Lite frames? Not that its a problem, theyre great geo's, just interested
moose
best looking frame out there
aener
Please understand this is in no way a challenge, it's just a question: This is a 2010 Comp/Blade, but with different geo, built in booster, and a couple of minor differences, right? Same tubeset, same dropouts (I think... hard to tell), similar weight... Why is it so much more expensive? I realize it's all-round better with the tweaks -most notably the built in booster and lack of bash mounts - but £110 extra seems a bit much even if the raw material costs have gone up. Did the company lose out a bit making the 2010's so cheap?
JT!
Why no disc mounts? Surely in 2012 disc mounts should be standard on any decent frame?
craigjames
Looks smart Joe, love that colour get a 24" trials frame out in that colour! I guess there will be a shorter? higher? frame with a disc mount for the comp boys?
dngr2self
If only the stock was in that colour. Looks really good

Did the company lose out a bit making the 2010's so cheap? A few reasons why its more, Comp was bought in 2009. Material costs and currency was better, Headtube cut out, More U6 tubes, CNC booster built is not very cheap at all (adding a 100 gram booster and keeping it the same weight costs) , Weld bead between the top tube and down tube increases build time. Drop outs are more refined which takes longer in the CNC jig. Internal head tube costs more to produce. think that’s about it really, Certainly no one is trying hike the price up to get more money. The Comp was so cheap because it was a very very simple frame. Cheers

Cheers Didn't know all those differences, and they pretty much give the best answer possible Will there be a Comp alternative around again? Nice geo, but dead simple to keep it supercheap? I really think you had it absolutely bang on with those frames. Just needed getting rid of the bash mounts (Snail-cam option would've been nice, too.) kevind
If there will be a comp version with snail adjustment and disk brake option then it will be new frames for next seasons comps for the boys. They have had Blade frames for two years now and love them. But Aarons has been upgraded to take snail adjustment/disk back end with Hope brake and he really likes that setup. I hate grinding rims!! As for bash plate Aaron is practicing without using it anyway. Simons will be upgraded to same spec for next seasons comps. Over to Onza? craigjames
I don't understand why anyone would want to use snail cams over Onza's tensioning system. It's simpler and more secure, with finer adjustment. I like it a lot!
